Stunning Clip in Hair Extensions

January 24th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

Stunning huh? Wow, what I wouldn’t give to be stunning and catch the eyes of some downright gorgeous guy! Oh yeah – that would be a dream come true! Just think – me with a guy on my arm and having a great time out at the clubs and dances and – but wait – I am getting way ahead of myself. Who am I kidding? My hair looks like the cat slept in it and I can’t seem to do much of anything with it.

Wow, that sounds really depressing girl! Why don’t you give clip-in hair extensions a try? I mean they’re really easy and you could really make a difference in your hairstyle in minutes. And I MEAN minutes – like would you believe 5 minutes? I am super serious chickie! Come on let’s go take a run into the city and see what we can find!

Nothing works better for an instant fix than clip-in hair extensions. Add them in and take off, it’s just that easy. Of course if you want to really work on it and make your hair a “statement” then you might take a little longer. Are you into rainbow colors? And we mean shocking pinks etc! No problem. You can make a really wild statement by adding the whole darn rainbow to your hair. That will definitely get you some attention. But, it you want something a little less lively, then stick with the usual colors and usual kinds of styles. That’s not to say they need to be boring or anything, but stick to something that might not get you so much stopped traffic!

Clip-in hair extensions are usually, more the most part anyhow, made of 100 percent real human hair. That is because they work better to handle and style than some of the other extensions on the market – for instance 100 percent synthetic hair (be careful of this in terms of heating it too much or you’re in for a bit of a surprise) or the combination extensions of human and synthetic hair. Each of these extensions has their own benefits, but be sure to ask what those are before you buy them. Better to be safe than sorry you know. Besides if you are going to be laying out bucks for them, you’re going to want something that works.

Styling clip-in hair extensions isn’t hard to do either. Just treat them like you would your own hair (which is carefully) and go about your business. The differences in the amount of time to put these hair extensions in versus getting them bonded in makes this a viable option for many.

Harmonious Human Hair Extensions

January 20th, 2010 hair extensions pro No comments

True harmony is human hair extensions that perfectly match your own hair. True beauty is how gorgeous you will be when you are done having those extensions added to your hair. Really, there is no doubt about it. Human hair extensions are considered to be “the” best method of extending what you’ve got. Why? They’re the best method to extend what you have simply because they ARE human hair. It just handles and bonds better than other methods – weaving, clip-ins, synthetic etc.

Choose the method you want when you have your extensions added in. It could be cold fusion or hot fusion, link and lock fusion or fusion loops. Without getting way too technical, all these methods are fairly easy for you to even do at home. However, the first time you might want to think seriously about getting it done by a professional at a salon. It might look easy on the site you visit and the video you see, but trying it for the first time yourself is guaranteed to give you the colly wobbles.

All these fusion methods do have varying lengths of time that they last. The cold fusion seems to have the longest at six months, the hot fusion about four. But what you really want first and foremost is the “LOOK” that you want. Oh and of course you will want quality. That is why many hairdressers will recommend you go with human hair extensions.

Worried about color matching? No need to be. You can get your lovely new human hair extensions in just about any color you want. Just remember though, that no matter how well they bond into your hair and make you look chic, they are not permanent. You will have to have them taken out at some point and then make the decision to do them again, try something else, or go back to your own hair style. Tough decision to make that one especially once you have seen the results of having human hair extensions added into your hair.

By the way, having human hair extensions put into your hair can be a bit pricey – but – worth it. Shop around to salons and see what kind of services they provide for you. Then, once you have found a salon you think will give you the look you are after, give them a try. The hair extensions will give new life to your hair by adding volume, color, life, and texture, not to mention length. It seems to be the in thing to do, add lots of length to your hair for that really dramatic look.

Fall Hair Color and Color Care Tips

December 8th, 2009 hair extensions pro No comments

Some people like to change the color of their hair as often as the seasons change. “Fall hair” is the look to aim for since it is just a few weeks away. According to celebrity hair stylists, bold and solid colors are the theme of the season. Since the weather won’t be as hot and the sun often shies away during the remaining months of the year, your complexion will most likely turn a little paler than normal. To make sure you avoid from looking worn and drab, update your hairstyle and hair color by choosing solid and warmer shades. If you’re a brunette, it is recommended that you stay that way. You can go darker if you want to, just try to stay away from shades of blonde if you are originally a brunette. Go for auburn, amber, or golden brown hues.Blondes can go for the natural look (like Jennifer Aniston or Kate Hudson) or full fake-but-glamorous, Marilyn Monroe style. Whichever direction you choose to go, the important detail to remember is to have depth at the roots. Giving depths to roots helps your hair color blend with your skin tone so you won’t look way off. A hair treatment called color correction can help you adjust to the right shade. This also means you won’t have to have all of your hair colored. If you have bold streaks or highlights, better get rid of them or tone them down using color correction. Random highlights should only add dimension and texture to hair and not make it seem like you just came out from a punk hair salon. Also, if you plan on having extensions, make sure it’s the exact shade of your hair, or at least one shade darker or lighter than your real hair.Copper undertones for redheads is the in thing for fall. They can also choose shades of strawberry blonde or dark auburn. It all depends, again, on your complexion. Don’t move too far from your original color. Minimal changes are the only requirements for a new look.After getting that new shade of hair, what’s left to do (aside from a wardrobe update) is to maintain the color. Here are a few tips to keep your hair from turning dull.Choose reliable hair color products. (ex: L’Oreal, Paul Mitchell, TIGI, Clairol)Wet your hair with bottled spring water before stepping into a chlorinated pool.Use hats and scarves to protect your hair from the sun so as not to dull and dry hair.Use shampoos for color-treated hair. Lather and rinse lightly.Use color enhancing conditioners 2 to 3 times a week.Use hairsprays with moisturizers and sun-protective solution.Do not brush hair when wet and do not over dry. Avoid wrapping hair with a towel after stepping out of the shower. Dry it lightly and comb with a wide-tooth brush when using a dryer.Also, it’s always good to match your hair color with a new shade of nail polish on your fingernails and toes. Choose complimentary colors when getting a pedicure and manicure. But, nothing beats healthy looking nails with a simple French tip this season.Set an appointment and visit your nearest salon. Check out the other services they offer like waxing (brow, lip chin, legs, chest, bikini, belly, and back), spa treatment (facials), updo’s for special occasions, and makeovers. They also offer special packages for multiple treatments.

Hair Color Correction at Home or at a Hair Salon in South Tampa

November 28th, 2009 hair extensions pro No comments

Sometimes getting the right haircut with a variety of options in hair styles, even with extensions, is just not enough. The right hair color is needed to give it the perfect finishing touch. There are also times, however, when hair color goes wrong. This often happens when hair color treatment is self applied at home or at a disreputable hair salon in South Tampa. Thankfully, hair color correction is still possible. Most professionals warn against using color removers available in drugstores as these can be too strong and may damage your hair unless applied by professional hair specialists. For those who have applied color that turns out too dark, they recommend waiting a few days for the color to naturally lighten after several shampoos.Some people advice using equal amounts of baking soda and dandruff shampoo and leaving the mixture on the hair for ten minutes. This is then rinsed out with a mixture of one thirds baking soda to two thirds hot water. Doing this for two to three times is supposed to quickly fade unwanted hair color.If your hair color turns out to be too red, you can do the abovementioned steps then follow it up by re-coloring using a light ash blonde.It is easier to correct hair color that is too light. You can apply a darker semi-permanent color over it. Take note, however, that you have previously bleached your hair and it is in a very vulnerable state, possibly heavily damaged. Applying even a gentle semi-permanent color over it may still be quite harsh.It would be much better to try more natural and mild alternatives for correcting over-bleached hair. You can darken it using a thick paste made of one half cup of cocoa mixed with plain yoghurt. After your regular shampoo, apply this to your hair and let it stay for five minutes before rinsing. Some darkening may already be seen after one application. Three applications will bring more dramatic results. An alternative to cocoa would be coffee or black tea. Be careful in the application, though, because all three substances can stain clothing permanently.For dull color, simply applying silicone products or spray on shine while styling may do the trick. Also use shine enhancing shampoo and conditioner for colored hair.It is still best to go to a reputable hair salon in South Tampa for your hair color correction. Be prepared for the fact that sometimes the color correction cannot be accomplished with just one visit, especially with severely damaged hair. Color correction will have to be done along with damage control.In some cases, fortunately, a simple application of a colorless gloss over dull hair color already works wonders. In other cases, weaving in highlights and lowlights solves the problem.If your hair is too damaged, though, it may not be able to absorb additional color even for correction. Perhaps your stylist can try to weave in hair extensions of a complementary to tone down your look. You will then just have to patiently wait while the damaged hair grows out and new healthier hair grows in.It would be even better to go straight to a reputable hair salon in South Tampa to get your hair color right in the first place. You can be sure to also get the best haircut with the widest selection of trendy and classic hair styles using only top of the line hair treatment products such as Paul Mitchell and TIGI. As a bonus for yourself, you may as well get a waxing and your manicure and pedicure for a complete makeover.

Hair Extensions: What You Really Need To Know Before You get The Look that You Always Wanted

November 24th, 2009 hair extensions pro No comments

If you are considering a new look hair extensions may be the solution for you. Extensions can give you that long, thick, shiny hair you always wanted. You may have short hair you are unhappy with, or unhealthy hair that just won’t grow the way you would like. Either way, hair extensions can improve the way you look. Before you rush out to a salon there are a few things you need to know.

The first thing is to find a great hairdresser that specializes in human hair extensions. There are plenty of bad hair extension jobs out there; you have probably noticed them out on the street. The hair dresser that you choose can have a massive effect on your final look.

If you have friends who have had extensions done, find out where they went. Having a look on the internet may also help you find some great salon professionals. Many hair dressers will offer extensions, but your really need to find someone who specializes in them. It is a difficult skill to acquire.

Good hair extensions are not cheap. It may seem like a lot of money to pay, but think about the results. You will have long luscious hair that you will get to enjoy every day.

Having your extensions applied can take as long as six hours. The best extensions are applied in small sections, this is known as the strand method. While time consuming, it tends to provide the best looking end result.

———-

There are different qualities of hair extensions available. The best is virgin hair. This is hair which has never been bleached or colored. It is more healthy than other hair available. While more expensive in the short term, you will be able to use the hair again, having it cut off then rebounded once it has grown out. Your extensions will look better and your reapplications will cost you less money.

Most hair extensions will last between three and six months, depending on the product you use and how quickly your hair grows. Taking good care of your extensions will give them a longer life.

Make sure you brush your hair twice a day with a specialized extension brush. Keep it tied up in bed and wash it regularly. There are recommended shampoos and conditioners available for hair extensions, along with daily leave in treatments. It is important you take care of the ends of your hair, as extensions can sometimes become dry.

Flattering Hair Styles for Various Face Shapes

November 5th, 2009 hair extensions pro No comments

Are you due for a haircut at your favorite hair salon in South Tampa? If so, perhaps you are at a loss with all the many hair styles to choose from. Here are some tips on choosing hair styles that would be most flattering to your face shape.Hair Styles for Round FacesTo slim down a round face, the shortest you should go would be just below the chin. Ask for soft, graduated layers, preferably going longer. Wispy and tapered ends will stylishly complement the look. Long side-swept bangs will make a round face look narrower.Avoid sporting short curly hair as this will emphasize the roundness of your face. Short blunt cuts of one length all around will also have this effect.Hair Styles for Square FacesSo-called square faces have strong angular jaws. Best examples are Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosario Dawson, Isabella Rosellini and Demi Moore. If you want short hair, you can soften the jaw with curls, spiky styles or choppy ends. For long hair, ask for layers from the jawline downwards.Avoid blunt cut bangs and one length bobs to the chin as these emphasize the jaws.Hair Styles for Oblong FacesOblong faces are longer than oval faces. Sarah Jessica Parker and Liv Tyler are good examples. To counteract the long shape, the illusion of width should be created. This can be done through curls and waves that add volume. Bangs that skim the brow also help. The best hair length would be to the chin. For longer hair, the style should be much shorter on the sides and longer towards the back.Avoid long hair of one length all over.Hair Styles for Heart-Shaped FacesHeart-shaped faces have pointy chins. Consider Katie Holmes, Reese Witherspoon and Rachel Bilson. Distract the eye from your chin by having bangs and add soft layers with movement at the sides of the face.Avoid blunt cut bangs and choppy layers.Hair Styles for Oval FacesThis is the perfect face shape. Examples are Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson. Those with oval faces look good in any hair style and hair length. Since you don’t have a problem with your face shape, consider the natural texture of your hair and go for the style that makes the most of it.Make sure that you get the proper instructions on how to style your new haircut in order to achieve the same look once at home. Stock up on the necessary hair styling and hair care products. Most salons would recommend products like TIGI and Paul Mitchell. If they have these for sale, you better take some home for convenience. You might also want to highlight your new hair style with color. The right placement of color can further boost the effect of certain hair styles on your face shape.If you have short hair and are impatient at having to grow it out, you can have the long hair look you want by asking for extensions. Your stylist may still have to trim your hair and the extensions to ensure proper blending in an appropriate style.Once you have the hair style you want, why not go all the way and avail of waxing, manicure and pedicure services, as well? That will complete your makeover and will really make you feel like a new and more beautiful person. Of course, the new hair style as well as the waxing, manicure and pedicure do not really change who you are. They do enhance what you have, though, and the resulting confidence will radiate from you like an inner glow.

Celebrity Sedu Hairstyles: Secret of Hair Extensions Revealed

October 30th, 2009 hair extensions pro No comments

Hollywood celebrities have always been known for presenting the latest fashion trends. We tend to do our hair, nails and make-up in the same way and using the same products and methods that are sported by our favorites.

Why? The answer is simple: celebrity people have the best stylists at their service. By copying or succeeding celebrity hairstyles we are trying to keep the step with fashion.

Today’s hairstyle fashion presents Sedu hairstyles, and many celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, and Jessica Simpson are the brightest stars of Sedu hairstyles.

These people are known for their long, silky and smooth locks that are flowing freely down their necks, underlying the gorgeous beauty and chic that are so natural for them.

But with all filming, photo shooting and constant change of their hair styles is it possible for them to have naturally long hair?

This question is rather hard to answer because you can’t be one hundred percent sure that you’re telling the truth. Jennifer Aniston is definitely against extensions because during the filming of Friends constant use of extensions has almost killed her beautiful hair. So, those fabulous long locks of hers are to the smallest strand her natural length.

Jessica Simpson is known for her beautiful hair, but her stylist Ken Paves uses extensions to keep that famous Jessica Simpson Sedu hairstyle.

So, what lies behind the beautiful hair of Hollywood celebrities?

Extensions is the strands of hair arranged in such a way that they can be easily attached to your natural hair, increasing the length and the thickness of your hair.

They come in two main types:
• Individual strands;
• Wefts.
These two types of hair extensions differ by the way they are attached to your hair and the quality of the hair itself.

Individual strands are applied in small sections by weaving, heat fusing, gluing, or clamping with metal rods. Such method of hair extension includes applying to your own hair various chemical or foreign substances or objects. Of course, as every method this one also has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The main advantages of such method are:
• Long hair;
• Ability to make any hairstyle;
• Ability to use hair of any color, texture, or quality.

The greatest disadvantages of individual strands are:
• Application of foreign chemical or metal substances or objects to your hair;
• Hair damage during the removal of the extensions;
• Inability to use certain hair care products in order not to damage extensions or your own hair.

Generally, method of individual strands extensions is not popular among celebrities because of the risk of hair damage. When you need to have one hundred per cent beautiful look all the time, you cannot allow yourself to risk losing one of your most important beauty signs.

On the other hand, wefts represent the little curtain of hair attached together at the top and freely flowing at the bottom. Wefts come in two types:
• Hand made;
• Machine made.

Wefts are much more expensive, but they almost completely eliminate any risk of hair damage. Both hand made and machine made wefts are of natural human hair only. There are four main types of human hair used in hair extension:
• Asian hair. This type of hair is very straight and dark. You may use it if you are Asian yourself or if you can’t afford using more expensive extensions.
• European quality hair. Such hair is collected in India and Pakistan. It is usually of dark colors and is not chemically treated. But due to darkness this hair is difficult to dye and it is not suitable for blonds and redheaded people.
• European hair. This hair is gathered in Italy and Spain. It may be wavy and is usually of dark shades. Such extensions last up to a year.
• Raw/Virgin hair. It is the best quality hair possible. It is very expensive and you can be absolutely sure that it is not chemically treated. If you buy blond hair, it has grown on the blond head.

To apply weft to your hair the stylist braids a horizontal track (very small plait) to which he/she attaches the weft. Such types of applying the hair extension allow you to keep your own hair undamaged by chemicals and keep the same extension for several years. All you need to do is to come to the salon once in 6-8 weeks and reapply the extension.

Among celebrities wefts of raw hair are the most popular because they can be dyed in any color and there is no risk that such extensions will fall out or became thinner. This is the best way to add length to your Sedu hairstyle and let your own hair grow healthy.

So, if you want to have long and beautiful Sedu hairstyle, but unfortunately your hair is to short or grows slowly, consider the Hollywood method of making hair miracles and get yourself a hair extension.
